Neat idea, using Daisy Duck to narrate. She's evidently from the Valley, where Disney also has its home.

Why does Automator first ask you to choose a template? If using for the first time, how do you know which to choose? Very bad design to immediately present the user with something confusing.

Hello, thank you. I appreciated this tutorial. I did not know of automator until now as I was looking for a way to get the %20 out of all of my downloaded files in safari. since it is a new OS it looks little different. For instance, when I go to save it, only Save comes us (not save as) and I cannot figure out where to save it so that it is available in the services file so I can run it any time.

also, is there a way to make this action happen when anything is downloaded? or does it just run if i click to run it. Again, I cannot find the workflow (or should it be a file action) under the preferences, I have to open automotive every time. Thank you for your help if you can help. Apple would not help me with Automator or the problem with safari, even though it is a brand new computer.

Cool, thanks for this great video. You have just taught me on using the Automator efficiently. I didn't know about the functions of Automator until I bump into this article. I am a bit computer illiterate, yet I had no trouble following and comprehending your fine and easy tutorial. It feels really great to learn something valuable from Techyv site, especially if you are unaware of the information. Thanks for sharing your knowledge through this video.

Considering Mac as one of the best OS platform, they will definitely have something better to offer and Automator is one of the best in terms of automation assistant. Before, I had to move my files that I’ve downloaded to another folder manually and it is quite irritating to do it again and again. Now, I am doing my work faster. Thanks to the developer of Automator and especially for Techyv for sharing this useful video to us.

Mac is an awesome OS platform. Among all the apps available for Mac, Automator is one of the best apps I liked. I am a freak in terms of music. Previously I had to move those files I downloaded to another folder. It was very annoying and time consuming. But now I can do my job fast. Thanks to the developer of this application and also to Techyv for this video on using Automator.
