Hey, I don't think this will work with my Kindle Fire. I am not completely sure but I think it is a Kindle Fire 7. I bought it in 2014. Is there a way to do this with my version? It is the Kindle Fire 7 with fire os 4.0, bought in 2014.

Just used this to unbrick my Kindle Fire HD 7 2012. I simply swapped the software that you provided for the 8.9 with a zip package put together for the 7 inch model. I had adb and kindle drivers installed in my wife's windows box but none of the prescribed methods worked. I am greatly appreciative of the provided linux instructions. Fantastic!

WOW! My Kindle Fire HD was bricked for YEARS! I have tried all the different methods in Windows, as well as a Linux based fix before that would never get a response from the tablet until this. Thank-you.
